Steve White Sensei - Steve started his jiu-jitsu training at Carleton University under Amelia Croll in January 2004. In the summer of 2004 he trained at the Ottawa Metro YMCA under Jonathan Jamnik and Brent Stamplicoski, before moving to Kingston and training at both the Queen’s University club, and the Kingston YMCA. In January 2009 he moved back to Ottawa to train under Chris Whynot at Gladstone.  In spring 2009 he took on the role of head instructor of the Gladstone club, which has now become the Ottawa Community Club. Steve has trained continuously in martial arts since 1989, and also holds the rank of Shodan in Shito-Ryu Itosu Kai Karate.
 
 
 
 
Colin Welburn Sensei - Colin began his martial arts career at Andy Dobie Sensei's first Canadian session in 1993 at Trent University. In 1994, he became president of the Carleton University Jiu Jitsu club.  In 1997, he and John Molyneux Sensei founded the Ottawa Community Jiu Jitsu Club at the YMCA.  John handed instructor duties over to Colin in 1999.  In 2002, Colin handed the club over to his senior student, Jonathan Jamnik Sensei.  In 2012, Colin returned to teaching at the Ottawa Community Club, running Sunday sessions which are geared to adults and youth alike.
 
 
 
 
 
Sabeel Ansari Sempai - Sabeel Ansari began his Jiu Jitsu career at the Ottawa Community Club in May 2006 under Kieran Parsons Sensei and Jonathan Jamnik Sensei. Sabeel holds the rank of 1st Kyu and is trained as an Instructor. He frequently shares teaching responsiblities in the dojo with Steve White Sensei, the head instructor of the Ottawa Community Club.

Sabeel holds current CPR-C and First Aid Certification through St. John Ambulance Canada.
